Historical Highlights

Club Overview

Masiphumelele RFC had its origins as a Sunday team, playing it's games in the Kayelitsha league. With no home venue to train or play in, their survival was dependent on their individual passion to play rugby. Now Masiphumelele RFC has a home at the Noordhoek sports grounds, in the South Peninsula. Masiphumelele RFC not only represents the South Peninsula, it actively supports the development of rugby for all communities in the area.

Masi RFC welcomes the support of the whole community, providing a friendly environment for the whole family.

WP Club Rugby where not accepting any more club registrations due to the amount of current registered clubs. Masi RFC where blessed with an opening when another club pulled out of competitive rugby which created an opportunity for Masi RFC to register for competitive rugby.

  • 2011 - Noordhoek Sports Grounds

With no field to practice on as a Sunday social rugby team a field became a priority. There was a vision to play competitive rugby and facilities where required. We were privileged to be granted the use of the Noordhoek sports grounds for the club which only increased the vision and passion for all members.
